HARRISBURG – Rep. Justin Simmons (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) today announced the awarding of $85,000 in state funding for improvements to Seidersville Hall located in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County. Simmons played a key role in securing the Local Share Account (LSA) grant for the project.
“I heartily support this project, which will greatly benefit the Saucon Valley community,” said Simmons. “I appreciate the township’s effort to upgrade an existing, older building that houses programs for both young and old.”
Specifically, the state grant will go toward renovations to the interior of the building, including new windows and flooring, along with bathroom upgrades. Seidersville Hall is used by organizations that provide services to township residents.
The funding was approved and awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth. LSA grants are derived from gaming revenue.
