HARRISBURG – Rep. Justin Simmons (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) today announced the awarding of $47,239 in state funding for improvements to Seidersville Hall located in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County. Simmons played a key role in securing the Local Share Account (LSA) grant for the project.
“Seidersville Hall is a meeting place for many organizations in the township. These improvements will allow that use to continue for years to come,” said Simmons. “I applaud township officials for undertaking the project and am pleased to be able to help out with some of the funding.”
Specifically, the state grant will go toward demolition and construction costs, including new windows and flooring, along with bathroom upgrades. The township was previously awarded an $85,000 LSA grant for the remodeling project.
The funding was approved and awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth. LSA grants are derived from gaming revenue.
