Simmons to Host Free Paper Shredding Event Saturday in Emmaus
EMMAUS – In his continuing effort to combat identity theft, Rep. Justin Simmons (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is encouraging area residents to take part in the paper shredding event he is hosting on Saturday, April 8, in Emmaus. The free service will be available from 8 a.m. to noon at Emmaus Community Park, 1401 Shimerville Road.
“I am pleased to be able to once again provide constituents of the 131st District with a secure way to shred large amounts of personal documents and reduce the risk of becoming a victim of identity theft,” said Simmons.
Residents are advised to bring documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, medical data or bank account numbers, to be shredded, at no cost to them.
Simmons noted that electronics recycling will also be available, but only for Upper Milford Township and Emmaus Borough residents.
For more information, call Simmons’ district office in Emmaus at (610) 965-5830.
