Simmons to Host Open Houses at District Offices in Coopersburg, Emmaus and Red Hill
COOPERSBURG – Rep. Justin Simmons (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) today announced that he is hosting a series of open houses in the coming weeks at his district offices, including two offices that are located in new areas of the 131st Legislative District.
“The redistricting process has made it necessary for me to open district offices in Emmaus and Red Hill so we can better serve residents of the 131st District,” said Simmons. “I have enjoyed representing the areas that we lost and hope residents have been pleased with the service they have received from my district office staff. Now, we look forward to getting to know the folks living in the new parts of the district and encourage them to stop by during the open houses to meet us and learn about the many legislative services we can provide.”
The open house schedule is as follows:
Saturday, March 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coopersburg office in Village Center, 21 N. Main St., Unit 9, Coopersburg.
Saturday, March 28, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Emmaus office in Village Center Office Suites, 191 Main St., Suite 104, Emmaus.
Saturday, April 11, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red Hill office in Red Hill Borough Hall, 56 W. Fourth St., Unit 2A, Red Hill.
On Dec. 1, changes to the boundaries of state legislative districts went into effect. As a result, portions of Allentown and Salisbury Township are no longer included in the 131st District, which Simmons represents. New areas of the district include East Greenville, Emmaus, Pennsburg, Red Hill, Upper Hanover Township, and portions of Lower Saucon and Upper Milford townships. Redistricting occurs every 10 years to reflect shifts in population.
