Simmons to Honor Vietnam-Era Veterans on Nov. 14
10/17/2016
EMMAUS – Rep. Justin Simmons (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) will host a special ceremony to honor area veterans of the Vietnam War on Monday, Nov. 14, in Emmaus. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Emmaus VFW, 316 Main St.

“I am excited about the opportunity to recognize and honor the Vietnam-era veterans of the 131st Legislative District,” said Simmons. “It is only fitting that we host such a ceremony in observance of the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Vietnam War.”

A Vietnam veteran’s lapel pin will be distributed to those in attendance.

Vietnam veterans and anyone who served in the U.S. Armed Forces between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, are invited. Families are also encouraged to attend.

Veterans must RSVP to receive a pin. Please call Simmons’ district office in Emmaus at (610) 965-5830 or email draines@pahousegop.com.
