HARRISBURG – State Rep. Justin Simmons (R-Lehigh/Northampton) today voted in favor of the conference committee report on House Bill 1950, which establishes impact fees and environmental safeguards for the Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling industry in Pennsylvania. House Bill 1950 was approved by the House of Representatives by a vote of 101 to 90.

While important on its own, the need for this proposal recently expanded when the federal research and development tax credit expired.
